So, we've made it to the half way point. We stopped for an awesome break here in Winnipeg and stayed with some relatives of mine... who showed us around the awesome city of Winnipeg and treated us to an excellent dinner. It was a great way to recover from the last couple days on the road.
On the way here we discovered that pretty much as soon as you cross the boarder from Ontario to Manitoba you go from twisty, turn-y roads with lots of curves and hills to.... Prairie. 'Sensory Overload' as far as you can see.

About 1/2 way here it started to rain. Really rain. Transport trucks producing crazy clouds of water and throwing off rivers of water kind of rain. That kind of rain is, as it turns out, rather exhausting while you're on the road. Our drive from Thunder Bay, ON took about an hour longer than it should have because of said rain, but it made for some interesting photos. As soon as I get time to spend an hour or two on the laptop editing photos I shall upload a few of them. Just a few- I promise. Day one produced more than 400 photos, day 2 produced almost as many. That's what happens when you're constantly surrounded by stunning vistas.
Tomorrow we head further west towards Saskatoon... I'll keep you updated!
