SO! Here I sit in a hotel in Thunder Bay, thinking about the last 24 hours. We left Buckhorn around 9:30am yesterday morning and drove straight through... Rob was feeling good so why not, right?
Something I've really noticed along the way is the sheer magnitude of the walls of rock created for the Trans Canada Highway. It's somewhat insane how huge these things are... we're talking transport trucks are dwarfed kind of ridiculously huge.

It's kind of insane to think that most of those rock walls were created before we had all the ridiculous technology that we have today. No kidding people lost their lives and worked on the Trans-Canada Highway for their entire lives, parts of this thing are ridiculous.
So, a few things I've learned about Ontario...
1. It's HUGE. We literally drove all day yesterday and we haven't left the province yet.
2. It's absolutely beautiful at this time of year. I kept saying it was the best time of year to do this trip before we left but not even I realized quite how pretty this drive is actually going to be. No wonder tourists come from around the world to see our fall colours.
3. We tend to be really obvious with our town names. We drove through a town called Iron Bridge. Can you guess what they're known for?

4. Lake Superior is MASSIVE. And stunning. There were a bunch of signs saying, "Lake Superior, Naturally Superior." I'm starting to believe them.
Oh, and a tiny tidbit of awesome: Jelly Bean Roulette.
Instructions: Place jelly bellies in a cup in your cupholder for snacking along the route. Do not look at the jelly bean you've selected, just put it in your mouth. Beware the dark purple ones with pale purple spots. Awesome!
And now... on to Winnipeg!
