We went from Winnipeg to Saskatoon in just over 12 hours... and boy was it a monotonous drive. There were a few interesting surprises, I'd never considered how towns would seem to just pop up out of nowhere, and I didn't think there would be nearly as many trees as there are... but overall, it was very flat.
Now, that's not to say it wasn't beautiful. I've never seen a sky quite as blue as that one, nor have I seen a sky that changes quite that fast. In the space of less than a full day we had ridiculous wind, rain, thunderstorms in the distance and bright sun with clear skies. At least that kept it entertaining, right?

I finally got my picture of me with a boarder sign... we missed the one between Ontario and Manitoba because it wasn't all that safe to pull over. Ah well, missing one isn't the end of the world, right?
Oh! Almost forgot... LLAMAS! We saw them on three farms but I only got a photo of one... and both photos are blurry. It's not like one expects to see llamas instead of horses or cows on a farm in the middle of a prairie.
As for Saskatoon itself, not exactly my favorite place in the world. Kind of industrial and run down. Good pizza from a local place though... and they REALLY like their cheese.
Anyways, 3 down, 2 to go. Next up, Edmonton!
