So, it's been quite a while. Months even. First off, let's give the 5 second run down of what's happened since February.
- worked in records, really enjoyed that but that's finished now
- went on vacation... one hell of a road trip down to Edmonton and back with R and C this past Easter
- saw the ice castle on Great Slave Lake
- lived through the unending daylight... and I thought unending darkness was hard to adjust to
- went on vacation... back to Toronto! Saw my family and got a kick ass sunburn at the cottage
- adopted the cutest kitten EVER

We flew up from Toronto on the 4th of July and she charmed everyone she came into contact with. To go through security with an animal you have to remove it from it's carrier and walk it through the metal detectors... she did her standard parrot-esque thing and hopped up on my shoulders. Supposedly most animals freak out at this point because there are so many strange scents and sounds. Once we were on our flight the air hostesses decided she was the cutest little kitten ever and played with her in the galley just before we landed... did I mention that she didn't make a single sound throughout the entire trip? Just curled up in her little nest and watched the world when she wasn't sound asleep.
I keep calling her kitty because we still haven't settled on a name... Sigyn (like begin with see instead of be) was the original plan but we're still not sure. Maya, Mika, Wombat, Crazy, Honey, Monkey, Yepa, Kenzie and Eir (pronounced air) have all been tossed around but they're not sticking either. Ah well, only time will tell. Either way, she's a very happy kitten...

... who also happens to be very stubborn. I've started feeding her a very mixed diet... wet canned/pouch food in the morning, kibble around noon, raw food around 7pm and something random around 10pm. She's still a tiny kitten and they're supposed to be eating around four times a day- I swear I'm not over feeding her. Well, today it was her day to try chicken leg. This is a kitten that devours chicken based wet foods and she adored chicken breast... but she wouldn't even TASTE chicken leg. Hmm... Tried it raw, tried it cooked, stubborn kitty still refused. I have, however, fooled her into eating some of the cooked chicken leg... I sprinkled it with parmesan cheese. A few minutes later most of it's gone and she's purring happily to herself. ... Yep, this cat is weird.
Well, that's all for tonight. I promise I'll write again... a lot sooner than last time.
